
Cameron King is a senior at California University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Political Science. With a great interest in both fields of communications and politics, Cameron has been active in other campus organizations and sits as a two-year chairman of the College Republicans of Cal U as well as the Finance Director and Communications Staffer for the Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans. In 2018, he was tapped as campaign manager for Rep. Bud Cook's (PA-49) [California, PA's state representative] reelection campaign, where he earned a victory. He hopes to continue his work in politics, specializing in strategy and communications, but focuses additionally on acquiring a marketing role in the field of technology. Over the years Cameron has written a variety of news and opinions pieces covering politics, current events, business, and more for the Cal Times as both a staff writer and a contributor. He is excited and eager to continue his role as Opinions Editor for the Cal Times in the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters.
