(Jan. 25, 2018) A tavern dating back to 1837 is being torn down in Wharton Twp. Fayette County. The Rush House sits at the corner of Route 381 and Route 40 and has been vacated for several years. The property was purchased in Oct. 2017 by the newly formed Wharton Twp. Properties LLC, owned by Joe Hardy. Ideas for the property include a community or town center.
