Jason Reeves has been in the music industry for a long time.

Reeves has worked with Colbie Caillat since her career began, serving as a co-songwriter and even making a few appearances on songs.

He’s also worked with producers like Kara DioGuardi and Mikal Blue.

Reeves has solo music, including albums “Hearts Like Magnets” and “The Lovesick,” but he’s been getting more attention from the work he does with his wife, Nelly Joy.

The two complete the duo known as High Dive Heart.

Nelly Joy, whose real name is Danelle Leverett, met Reeves when they worked together on his album, “The Lovesick.” Reeves later admitted that Joy was his muse and the reason behind most of the love songs on the album. Joy helped write almost every song on the album.

“I was working with Jason crafting songs for his record,” Joy wrote on High Dive Heart’s official website. “He developed a crush on me, but I didn’t realize it. I just thought I was helping him write about some other girl. One night, we had a couple of margaritas, and the truth spilled out. I should’ve known since he never said her name!”

The two were married in 2012, and released their first song, “Vintage,” in April 2015. The song was also released later in July 2015, as part of the Sonic Graffiti EP they released.

The EP contained five songs, including “Vintage,” “Wild Ride,” “Death of Me,” “Flower Child” and “Mile High (feat. Sweet T).”

The two released songs here and there for the next two years, while also recording music for Jason’s album “Sketches.”

On “Sketches,” Joy features on the song “Forever Isn’t Long Enough.”

One of the singles released between albums was “Misfit.” Notably, the song was featured on Corey Maison’s video where she detailed her experiences as being bullied for being transgendered. High Dive Heart has brought Maison and her family to shows, and had her join them on stage.

The duo also worked on Colbie Caillat’s album “The Malibu Sessions,” which released on Oct. 7, 2016.

During the fall of 2016, the duo went on tour with Caillat and Justin Young. Young, who is engaged to Caillat, is also featured on “The Malibu Sessions.”

Young and High Dive Heart opened up for Caillat’s “The Malibu Sessions: Acoustic” tour.

The four musicians are often working together or hanging out in Hawaii or Nashville.

Recently, all four worked together on High Dive Heart’s newest single, “Pull the Cord.”

Before the single was released, High Dive Heart put out a cover album called “Grunge Lullaby,” where they covered classic rock and grunge music. They covered songs like “Creep” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

The two also released an EP titled “HDR vs. MTR,” which features six songs, including “Misfit.”

The two haven’t released a date for their next EP or full-length album. However, they continue to share music on their social media pages, and hint at upcoming projects.

Their music is available on Spotify and Apple. Their official website is www.highdiveheart.com.
