This past Wednesday, Aug. 27, the California Student Activities Board held a show put on by The Psychic Soulmates, Anthem and Aria. The show started at 7:30 p.m. and took place in Vulcan Theater in the Natali Student Center. The spectacle left students mystified as the couple mixed comedy, psychic predictions, and mind-reading into an hour-long, interactive performance.
Anthem and Aria are a real-life, award-winning mentalist couple. They were featured on season 15 of “America’s Got Talent,” and they now travel to events worldwide, performing psychological illusions.
The performance left the audience in constant shock and awe, and laughter and gasps could be heard erupting from Vulcan Theater as the show went on. Students were left both impressed by the couple’s illusions and questioning how they were possible, as they were able to accurately identify information about audience members by methods that could only be explained by the ability to read minds.

“I don’t like that he guessed that girl’s PIN number,” student Molly Rosensteel explained after the show, “It makes me wonder if he knows mine. What is he gonna do with that information?”
“They actually read my mind, that was crazy. Full body chills,” said Eric Walker, a student who was chosen as a volunteer for a psychic exercise in which Aria correctly predicted which hand four students in a row were holding a coin.

Each participant was, in turn, given a prize.
