Cal U Communications

Cal U faculty, staff and students are invited to watch the final president debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden, which is scheduled to be held 9-10:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.

DebateWatch 2020 watch parties and live discussions have taken place during the presidential and vice presidential debates in October. DebateWatch 2020 events are a partnership between the American Democracy Project — a network of 296 public colleges and universities, including Cal U — and the Commission on Presidential Debates.

Watch the Oct. 22 debate on YouTube and participate in the discussion of the debate on Discord using this invitation. You will be asked to create an account if you have not already registered.

There will be a channel available on the DebateWatch Discord server for Cal U participants who wish to join the conversation.

The American Democracy Project will also be hosting a follow-up discussion with students, So What Did You Think of the Debate, 1-2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23. This is open to all ADP campuses, faculty, staff and students. Register here.

This event is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Melanie J. Blumberg, founding director of the American Democracy Project at Cal U, who passed away in 2020.
