Dr. Quiana Golphin and Dr. Dawn Moeller, therapists at the Cal U Counseling Center, discuss mindfulness techniques for coping with change in this edition of CUTV’s “Cal U Connections,” April 14, 2020.

In this program, the presenters defined what mindfulness is, how we know it works, how students can use mindfulness techniques to cope with the changes they may be struggling with due to the novel coronavirus, and how they can learn more about the topic.  Mindfulness helps us to side-step negative thought loops so that we can experience a calmer, and perhaps joyful, state-of-mind.

To learn more about mindfulness techniques, Dr. Golphin recommends this free 8-week course: https://palousemindfulness.com/

“Cal U Connections” is hosted by Gary Smith, CUTV, California University of Pennsylvania.
