Last Wednesday, Sept. 10, PennWest California’s street was lined with tables that held a variety of clubs and organizations, both student-led and campus-led. WCAL Radio played pop classics from Lady Gaga and Kesha as students perused the tables, playing games and signing up to join groups they found interesting.
Pen Club Literary Magazine let visitors play a literature and film guessing game, where players won pens as prizes if they got a certain number right. STAND Cal U, as done in previous fairs, brought their signature root beer and soda floats for students to enjoy, maintaining their increasingly popular tradition.
The second club and org. fair, like those before it, was lively and gave clubs and organizations a chance to showcase what they’re passionate about. It is events like these that remind students that PennWest is one big metaphorical melting pot of interests, personalities, backgrounds, and cultures.
