Cal Times

Lily Gongaware
Lily Gongaware is a senior at Cal U, with dual majors in Graphic Design and Liberal Studies.  She also has minors in Marketing and Fine Art.  As a lifelong artist, Lily initially entered college as an Art Education major, but switched to Graphic Design after taking an introductory course as an elective.  After graduating, Lily hopes to spend some time in each area of the Graphic Design field: working as a designer at a Full Service Design Agency, on an in-house Marketing team, owning her own company, and even as a professor one day.  Lily has worked on the Cal Times staff before, and rebranded the Cal Times through the Spring 2018 covers, as well as setting many of the photo layouts in the print editions.  This past summer, Lily worked as the Graphic Design & Marketing Intern for Burns Scalo Real Estate, a prominent commercial real estate company in the Pittsburgh area.  This semester, Lily takes on another role as the Social Media Marketing Intern for the times, where she will manage social media posting and interaction with followers.  She looks forward to growing her involvement with the Cal Times by improving the aesthetics and functionality of the print edition to fit the needs of our diverse audience, while also boosting the Cal Times's social media presence.
