The theme for the 2020 celebration of Cal U’s Black History Month is ‘The Next 400 Years: Recognition, Restoration, and Resilience.’

The annual Soul Food Luncheon in the Gold Rush, Natali Student Center, Feb. 5, 2020, featured a variety of ethnic cuisine traditionally prepared and eaten by African Americans of the southern United States. The event was sponsored by AVI Foodsystems.

Black History Month is sponsored by the Office of the President, the Office of Student Affairs, the Center for Volunteer Programs and Service Learning, Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Education, the Frederick Douglass Institute, the Department of Criminal Justice, and AVI Foodsystems.
